While some kids complain about cold weather and other kids seem to get sick during cold weather, a small number of them actually develop an allergic reaction to it.  Just like with food and pollen allergies, reactions can include rashes, hives, closing of the throat and general itchiness.  Parents of kids who suffer from cold urticarial have to make special arrangements to keep them in warm places. Even cold countertops, cold bathtubs, ice cream, popsicles, air-conditioning and cold drinks can trigger a reaction.
