Hey everybody! I'm glad to be back visiting with you on a daily basis. If you've ever listened to Mid Ohio's Country WNCO, then we're probably already friends. If not , let me introduce myself. I'm Matt Appleby, a Lexington native and Ashland High School graduate who's been on the air in mid Ohio since the winter of 1980. And yes that is my real name (who'd make that up?) My wife Kelly and I make our home in Mansfield and our daughter Sara is out on her own working as a case manager RN for a home health care agency. And while this is my first opportunity to DJ on Y105, I have been a fan of this station for a long time and I love the music. I'd be glad to have you as a Facebook friend, too. Thanks for tuning in weeknights on Y105!
When I die I hope alot of people care. Seriously I'd like to see , from my perch on a cloud somewhere, mourners lined up around the block. But who knows. How about you? Are you at all worried that your exit from this earth will go unnoticed and your life unappreciated? There's a way to make sure that doesn't happen but it's gonna cost you.
A U-K based company named Rent-A-Mourner can provide, for a mear $68 per mourner, people to show up at your funeral . They'll stay for two hours and will be trained on all the important information about you so that they can handle themselves with confidence when asked "How did you know the deceased?"
The business claims the service is to "increase visitor numbers or introduce new faces" and that business is booming. But what a way to make a living...professional and pre-arranged funeral crasher. That sounds like the perfect sequel.
